Jossey-Bass Inc., Publishers has just released a new book titled "Dancing with the Devil: Information Technology and the New Competition in Higher Education," an EDUCAUSE publication sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers. The book is a collection of essays by seven highly respected institutional, association, and financial leaders, led by EDUCAUSE Vice President Richard N. Katz, who examine the formidable challenges facing all types of campuses. The authors address such themes as dealing with competition from for-profit providers; building a powerful technological infrastructure on campus; changing restrictive organizational and administrative structures to reward, encourage, and manage technological innovation; and finding the money to fund these kinds of transformations. Each EDUCAUSE primary campus representative will soon receive a complimentary copy of "Dancing with the Devil."
