My attempt to sign back on the xmca on 7 November seems to have succeeded
in getting my posting of that date out to some but not all the members of
the list ... not including me. I didn't get a copy of my own posting nor
have I received anything else from the list since. I have checked the
archives to see what I missed and have just now, apparently again
successfully, signed back on. But that's just how it looked last time.
Please ignore this message. I may now start getting two copies of
everything ... and will deal with that if necessary. I am also trying to
find out if procmail has a no-mail option that might have been set for me
since my efforts before I went away in October to sign OFF the list also
did not succeed, and some kind soul may have manually re-set the options
for my list entry.

This black box is both too open and too closed ... technology should either
be transparent or invisible. In between it's frustrating.

JAY.
