I'm a recent reader to xmca and noticed your recent post on the program
across 8 departments at UNM. I'm currently working on research relating
to literacy and professional culture with MBA students from mainland
China. I was most curious to know which departments, what kinds of
research, etc., your group has been doing.
So much of what I've read, both on the list and in my brief readings in
cultural psychology is heavily theoretical, dealing more with culture as
a concept than as observed practice, especially with Asian cultures. My
specialty is rhetoric and composition, but the issues in cognition and
culture seem potentially fruitful. Any clues for figuring out some of
the missing connections would be most appreciated.
