These links about qualitative methods can be interesting:

http://www.helsinki.fi/~tmoilane/links.html

http://www.ualberta.ca/~jrnorris/qual.html

http://sun.soci.niu.edu/~sssi/

http://www.nova.edu/ssss/QR/index.html

The book: La recherche-action dans l'institutuion educative" of
Rene Barbier is very good to discuss the questions about implication in t=
he
qualitative research.

Other autor what work with these questions is Lourau. I like of
Guattari, Geertz, too.

I writed the text: Participative observation: a methodological
approach to school psychology. See in the my home page:
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Aegean/5389/semina

It is in portuguese!!!

Good luck
