Nate,
Following Mike's suggestion I put in my order for Mind As Action
and am waiting for delivery. A systematic XMCA discussion
would be useful for me.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Subject: Wetsch: Mind as Action

Awhile back Mike suggested Wertsch's book Mind as Action. I have only read
the first couple of chapters, but the book does appear to deal with many of
the issues that were discussed in the ownership, tools, signs,
internalization, etc threads. An aspect of the book I am finding very
interesting is the tension between agent and cultural tool, a theme that
appears to run throughout the book, at least so far. If others are also
reading this book I would find an XCMA reading of the book, similar to the
XCMA reading of Cultural Psychology last summer, beneficial.
