Hi Peter--

I haven't attended the 1994 Vygotsky's conference but I think it was school
in Zagorsk. I remember seeing a documentary in the former Soviet Union
about that school. If I don't confuse something, the documentary was about
a mute and deaf graduate of the Zagorsk school who became, I guess, a
philosopher. He mentioned Il'enkov who had worked in the school and
Vygotsky who had defined the approach. He highly praised both of them. It
was a very touchy personal account (this person wanted to commit suicide
several times in his life).
