Carol, I think your work on DSM and more broadly on diagnostic
classification is tremendous. I am using your MCA paper in an undergraduate
class on organizational communication in a couple of weeks. From a
communication perspective, it among other things highlights the materiality
of genres in a way that is usually absent in discussions of genres in
organizations.
A very interesting anthropologist here at UCSD, Tanya Luhrman, is writing a
