2) Send a message to xmca-request who-is-at weber.ucsd.edu as instructed.
In the body of the message you should include a
self description of not longer than one screenful,
which says where you work or study, what general
themes you are interested in, what theorists or
researchers inspire your interest and efforts,
and any other information that would help others
on the list to get a general idea of who you are.
Sally Tweddle, Senior CRC Fellow in Cancer Information and
Education, Uniersity of Birmingham. Used to be Senior programme
officer, English, National Council for Educational Technology where
we were looking at implications of new technologies for reading,
writing, texts and for the teaching of English. I'm currently looking
at a Web text and how that can be used by the general public in
learning about cance. Thinking about socioculturally mediated action.
Vygotsky, Wertsch, Kress, Spenser, Tuman are amongst those who have
influenced my thinking. ( And Dan Chandler started it all off for me
years ago.)
