I don't recall that US colleges worried about bringing in more women
students back when they were lopsidedly male. The real worry must be the
'feminization' of the academy ... how can academics feel masculine if the
academy becomes a female-dominated institution? it's the longer term future
that must be stirring their psyches to reaction.

Baseball teams? don't women play baseball? and basketball? And if they are
trying to attract more men for 'co-education', presumably this is because
having guys around is supposed to be educationally healthy for the women.
So why would these intelligent women want a lot of jocks in their critical
theory classes? Unless the idea is just to have them around as a stud
service ...
