Re: Theory and Psychology

I realize that my original query to Mike never made it to the list, so
I'll repeat it briefly here.

I am book review editor of the journal THEORY & PSYCHOLOGY. This is a
Sage journal, in its seventh year, which has just expanded to six issues
annually. We are interested in all issues related to theory in
psychology, defined broadly.

I had asked Mike whether it would be appropriate to solicit book reviewers
using XMCA, as Peggy does for MCA itself. Many of the people on XMCA
would make good reviewers for the kind of books we want reviewed, and I am
always looking for new reviewers.

So Mike suggested the following strategy. Could anyone interested in this
topic response to me PERSONALLY (swortham who-is-at bates.edu), concerning two
topics:

(1) do you think it would be OK for me to periodically (bi-annually, say)
send a longish message to XMCA with a list of books available for review
in T&P, soliciting reviewers? (I will tabulate and report the results of
this -- ahem -- scientific survey).

(2) if you would be interested in reviewing anything -- either a specific
title you have in mind, or something we might recive and pair with you --
please send me a note describing your interests.

Thanks.
