I am a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems, in the Department of Business
Systems at the University of Wollongong where I teach computer programming,
database and human-computer interaction as well as supervise student
projects at all levels. My area of research interest is in Information
Systems in Organisations, specifically in Executive Information Systems and
Human-Computer Interaction and I lead a project entitled "Information
Systems for Strategic Decision Support". Several members of the group have
attended the East-West HCI conferences and have become interested in
applying Activity Theory as a basis for our research. I am a member of
CHISIG (Australia) the association for Human-Computer Interaction and led
the committee which organised the 1995 national HCI conference, OZCHI95, at
Wollongong. I also edit the CHISIG newsletter and am a member of the
INTERACT97 conference committee
