Ken brings up an interesting point. Do you suppose there really is a
connection between the rural/working class political right and the
concrete/integrative/field dependent collectivist (Hofstede's
terminology) rural/working class discourse cultures that actually do
seem to flounder without explicit decoding instruction? That is, it's
not all political, but a plea for the kind of instruction that really
does "work best" for them?
