The reference is:

A. Still and A. Costall, "Mutual elimination of dualism in Vygotsky and
Gibson." Quarterly N ewsletter of the Lab of Comp. Human Cognition, 1989,
11, 131-135.

There are some other nice articles inthat issue, which can be obtained
by sending $5.00 to Peggy Bengel, LCHC -0092, UCSD, La Jolla, Cal.

Perhaps someone at OISE could tell us about the dissertation that
Bill Penuel referred to. It makes sense that the writer would be
at Vanderbilt, where (come to think of it-- thanks Bill!) John Bransford
works, since Bransford has done important work in this geneal area.
