i work with children who presented aprrenticeship difficulties and no
with special needs - dumbs, blunts, deafs, downs, etc... These children
are conduced at psychological clinic at University when presented problems
in theis schools. Generally theses children are discriminated by their
teachers, parents and colleagues. I think what the children's failure is
engenged by social ambient. In the brasil there are much children who
confront this situation and the schools failure is deposited over them -
the problems are of children and not of educational system. Here we have
several authors who are studying this social problem by much years. Sonia
Kramer, Maria Helena S Patto, Solange Jobim, Paulo Freire, etc...
The Vygotsky and collaboraters works (Luria and Leontiev are the more
knowns) presented to me news perspectives to approach these children because
they consider the children development and learning within of cultural
context besides to approach these process historically.
Unfortunately the vygotsky works aren't well tranlated to portuguese and
still is unexplored im my country - the preferred authors here are Piaget,
Emilia Ferreiro, the piagetians. There are some study groups in any
University - Universidade de Sao Paulo, Universidade de Campinas, Pontifice
Universidade Catolica/SP -which are studying the Vygotsky's works. These
groups are interpreting and researching empirically his concepts.
I used to make my research these Vygotsky's texts-
Mind in society, Thought and language, the collected works of plenun,
some spanish translations. I am still coming to vygotsky's works. I dont
have much time because my job at university. I expect your help to understand
the vygotsky's works.
