Ellice--I am just finishing up a large study of children's preschool play
conversation. I used CA-derived methodologies for the empirical analysis
portions, and my theoretical analysis draws heavily on Bakhtin, among
others. Most of this is in a forthcoming book, which I could send
excerpts of; also, there is a paper I will send you, but it doesn't
have the empirical, CA stuff in it: "A developmental model of
heteroglossic improvisation in children's fantasy play."
