NEW FACULTY POSITION: TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING
[Please forward to anyone who might be interested in applying. Thanks.]

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
The Michigan State University College of Education seeks an
assistant/associate professor in the area of technology in teaching and
learning for a tenure track appointment. Because of the rapid growth and
change in information technologies and their application in education, the
College encourages applications from candidates from a broad range of
backgrounds and experiences. The successful applicant should be committed
to research and development relevant to teaching and learning in
technology-supported settings, application of technology in specific
subject matter areas, the preparation of teachers to use technology in K-12
settings, or implications of technology for educational practice and
policy. Technology is construed as including an expanding set of
information technologies such as computer-based multimedia learning
environments, the World Wide Web, distance learning, and television.

The College of Education places high priority on research and development
aimed at promoting higher order learning by students and teachers through
integration of technology into the curriculum. The creation of an
ambitious new Technology Exploration Center in the College is evidence of
this priority. Information on the College may be found at
http://www.educ.msu.edu/.
