I remember that I learned to read from Walt Disney's Donald Duck.

I can still remember how it happened:

I was used to look at pictures of those comic-books and already knew all
the letters. Once while just paying with one of those books I suddently
realised that I could actually read the texts connected with the pictures.
My mother was in another room nearby and I went at once to say to my
mother that I can read. I was five years old at that time, I think.

Everything happened just like a lighting from the clear sky, in one single
moment.
