The phenomenon you note is really interesting, Pete. I know of work
by Moll and Diaz with less advanced readers where using Spanish to
discuss text in English greatly increased manifest levels of comprehension
but that is quite different from what you note. Perhaps Luis or Esteban
could comment.
Meantime, did you see the notice about a bilingual summer workshop
in Florida that I THINK I posted on xmca? Perhaps those folks have
some info for you.
