PS. For anybody who missed the original message it described
two leading-edge competence standards for Grade 2 involving
the Pledge of Allegiance as a text for basic understanding
of democratic institutions and religious forces in US history.
My own history course never did explain the 'No-Nothings' of
the 19th century very well. Somehow now I wish I followed up
on that. Might be useful knowledge in the future.
