*TENURE TRACK POSITION IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITY CONTEXTS – THE
DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY – UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO*



The Department of Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at
the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for an Assistant
Professor level tenure-track faculty position in the Community and
Prevention Research program within the Psychology Department to begin
August 2019. The successful candidate will have a promising program of
research and will contribute to teaching and student success at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels. Competitive applicants will conduct
research focused on contexts of human development (e.g., urban schools,
communities, families). Potential content areas of interest could include:
(a) the promotion of physical and mental health in children and
adolescents, (b) fostering positive developmental outcomes in young people
and families (c) empowering disenfranchised communities, or (d) developing
and implementing innovative, evidence-based programming and services.
Candidates who have methodological and/or community engagement expertise
are strongly encouraged to apply. For additional information about the

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. by the time of their
